Job summary

Highlander Consultants seeks a Project Engineer in Jacksonville, FL to design solutions for structures and maintain client relationships. You will act as a Project Engineer on several projects, coordinating with engineers and drafters to meet goals and schedules.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in project management and structural engineering, with strong communication skills and knowledge of analytical software across structural systems. BIM experience (Revit) and RAM/RISA/Enercalc are preferred.

Our client, with over 3 decades of Structural Engineering expertise, is seeking a full-time Project Engineer to support our growing team in Jacksonville, Florida. With multiple offices on the East Coast, our client is an award-winning, full-service structural engineering firm.

As a Project Engineer, you will work directly with our clients to design solutions for structures and maintain existing client relationships.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and detail solutions for new and existing structures that meet our clients’ goals and that are code compliant, efficient, and thoroughly detailed
• Act as a Project Engineer on several projects simultaneously that can differ significantly in size, schedule, and complexity
• Develop strong client relationships and engage in smart, client-focused business development practices to maintain long-term business relationships
• Be a team leader, communicating project requirements and expectations, working closely with other engineers and drafters to achieve your projects’ goals and schedules

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS needed

• 5+ years exhibiting growth in project management and technical expertise for structural engineering
• Competency in organizing and managing project teams to reach successful project conclusions
• Able to develop and maintain client relationships and to communicate effectively with your team and clients
• Be knowledgeable about analytical software across multiple structural systems
• Recommended - BIM (Revit) Experience; RAM, RISA, Enercalc are all used.
• Recommended - Master's degree in engineering or equivalent program
