Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer – Special Systems to join our on-site team in San Jose, CA, with travel within the Greater Bay Area.

The PE will support field operations, project management, and customer teams, coordinating material deliveries and maintaining RFI, submittal, and change order logs. The role emphasizes organization, communication, and collaboration with safety professionals to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Zero years required; two years preferred in construction or related field.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Act as key point of contact with internal customers for specific scopes of work.
• Supports project management on estimating activities including bids and change orders.
• Contributes to effective job start meetings and team meetings.
• Coordinates material onsite delivery dates with the project schedule.
• Partners with CEI safety professionals to identify hazards and document.
• Maintains RFI, submittal and change order logs and organized filing.
• Maintains current drawing log and distributes updates to team members and subcontractors.
• Maintains close out log and submits relevant documentation to the customer.
