【Summary】
A general contractor specializing in mechanical, rigging, and electrical construction services for the industrial market is seeking a Project Engineer / Site Superintendent to support industrial construction projects primarily in the Houston / Gulf Coast region.
The position is responsible for assisting with project management and field activities, coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and other project stakeholders, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality requirements.
Projects may include chemical plants, automotive manufacturing facilities, semiconductor facilities, food-processing facilities, and other industrial projects.
【Essential Duties】
- Participate in reviewing project drawings and specifications.
- Estimate project costs and required labor hours, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Participate in preconstruction planning, including project budgets and schedules.
- Review project specifications and contract requirements and ensure materials and subcontractor work are properly scheduled and compliant with contract documents.
- Ensure materials are properly tested and that test results are accurately documented.
- Conduct and attend site visits and inspections of subcontractors and vendors to maintain quality standards.
- Coordinate and monitor subcontractors and other project-related parties.
- Communicate with management, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders regarding schedules, construction methods, safety, quality control, permits, company policies, and performance standards.
- Attend daily and weekly project progress meetings and coordinate upcoming work activities.
- Monitor project progress and assist in resolving issues and adjusting schedules as necessary.
- Manage the project closeout process, including financial closeout, demobilization, and project handover to the customer.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
【Working Location】
- Houston, Texas
- Travel to project sites throughout the Gulf Coast region and occasionally to other locations within the United States is required.
【Salary / Benefit】
- $85,000 - $95,000 based
- Performance‑based bonus

【Qualifications】
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical) and/or Construction Management preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the industrial or construction field.
- PMP certification is a plus but not required.
- Working knowledge of construction contract language and terms.
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to estimate project costs, labor hours, materials, and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, including the ability to make decisions under tight deadlines.
- Ability to organize people, tools, and equipment and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to apply them on construction sites.
- Strong commitment to quality and continuous process improvement.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with customers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, Office, and Outlook.
- Ability to prepare, dictate, and/or review daily logs, monthly reports, and other project documentation.
