TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC is hiring a Project Engineer - Solar in downtown Houston with a hybrid work schedule. You will support the execution of the solar pipeline and report to the Director of Construction, joining a Renewables team focused on industrial-scale solar and storage projects.

The role requires a background in project engineering, PV design familiarity, strong Excel/Office skills, and excellent communication. 2+ years in a related role and 1+ year in renewables are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably Engineering, or similar field) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a project engineering role.
  • Minimum 1+ years of professional renewable energy experience.
  • Familiarity with photovoltaic solar design and technical standards.
  • Basic knowledge of civil, structural, and electrical.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate 3rd party engineers and ensure design submittals and reviews at 30%, 60%, and 90%.
  • Develop and maintain Master Document Register (MDR) through project life cycle.
  • Track deliverables, revisions, distribution, and transmittal histories.
  • Ensure reliability, retrievability, and traceability of project data and documents.
  • Process documents for record or approval.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Project Leads to meet document control needs.
  • Assist throughout the project lifecycle.

Activities

As Project Engineer - Solaryou will support the execution of TotalEnergies solar pipeline and will report to the Director of Construction. As part of our Renewables team supporting industrial scale solar and storage projects, you will work from our US Headquarters in downtown Houston with a hybrid work schedule.

  • Coordinate relevant 3rd party engineers, and ensure design submittals and reviewal of accurate 30%, 60% and 90% drawings.
  • Develop and maintain Master Document Register (MDR) through the life of the project.
  • Tracking deliverables throughout the project lifecycle (recording revisions, revision purposes, distribution, and transmittal histories.
  • Ensure reliability, retrievability and traceability of the project data.
  • Process documents for record or approval.
  • Participate in Coordination Meetings.
  • Coordinate with Project Leads to ensure all document control needs are being met.
  • Assist throughout project lifecycle.
Candidate Profile

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably Engineering, or similar field) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a project engineering role required.
  • Minimum 1+ years of professional renewable energy experience required.
  • Familiarity with photovoltaic solar design and technical standards required.
  • Basic knowledge of civil, structural, and electrical.
  • Professional experience in solar (PV) project design or project management and technical development work highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and proven ability to learn new software programs
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-starter, and naturally motivated to work hard and accomplish goals.
