Job summary

ARMI Hygienic Systems is seeking a Project Engineer for Process & Utility Piping to work directly with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to gather technical requirements and develop installation design packages. You will ensure designs meet codes, safety standards, and best practices while collaborating with Project Managers and Foremen on site.

The role requires 3+ years in piping systems with 2D/3D software, plus proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor, and CAD.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3+ years in Process and Utility Piping with 2D/3D software.
  • Experience creating manufacturing drawings and schedules.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, Inventor and CAD.
  • Procore experience preferred.
  • OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Available for nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to gather technical requirements for industrial process and utility piping projects.
  • Develop installation design packages including floor plans, piping layouts, equipment placement, and system elevations.
  • Ensure all engineering designs meet applicable codes, safety standards, and company best practices.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Foremen to ensure installations follow engineered designs and project specifications.
  • Provide daily technical guidance and problem-solving support to field teams during installation.
  • Review field conditions and make real‑time engineering decisions to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Identify design changes due to field conditions and support documentation for scope changes and change orders.
  • Conduct final inspections, develop as‑built drawings, and support project closeout and customer turnover.

How You Will Make An Impact

What You Need To Succeed
  • Mechanical degree preferred and/or applicable industry experience.
  • Experience managing projects with Process and Utility Piping Systems for food process industry.
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in Process and Utility Piping Systems using 2D and 3D software.
  • Create manufacturing drawings and schedules.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, Inventor, and/or CAD.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience with Procore – Project Management Software (preferred)
  • OSHA 30, preferred.
  • Availability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Availability to work nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Pre‑employment drug screen and background check
