Job summary

TempExperts is partnering with a Tampa construction company to hire a Project Engineer focused on preconstruction and estimating. You’ll work closely with project teams on estimating, bidding, scheduling, documentation and financial processes, from preconstruction through project execution.

You’ll be supporting preconstruction and estimating with takeoffs, bidding and scheduling, coordinating with subs and vendors, and using Procore and Sage for reporting and documentation.

Qualifications

• Procore experience and ability to generate reports and maintain workflows.
• Experience in construction preconstruction and estimating.
• Experience with construction takeoffs.
• Experience soliciting subcontractor bids and bid leveling.
• Experience scheduling and coordinating project activities.
• Experience owner billing and subcontractor invoicing.
• Familiarity with Sage or similar construction accounting software.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Clear communication with project teams, subs and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Support preconstruction and estimating with takeoffs and bid prep.
• Solicit subcontractor bids and follow up on proposals.
• Review and compare subcontractor proposals for bid leveling and scope.
• Assist with project scheduling and coordinating activities.
• Use Procore and Sage for reporting, workflows and docs.
• Support owner billing and subcontractor invoicing.
• Maintain accurate project documents and reports.
• Coordinate information between project, estimating, preconstruction, subs and admin teams.
• Handle day-to-day project coordination and administrative support.
