Job summary

Spyder Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to work alongside a Project Director, handling estimating, administrative tasks, and technical support to keep high-value projects accurate and on track. This long-term role emphasizes precision, documentation, and ownership of scope without constant oversight.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to read plans and analyze scope in detail.
• Sharp attention to detail; ensure documents are right the first time.
• Excellent organization to track multiple active projects.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain job folders, quote folders, and plan sets with a fully documented record from day one.
• Build CSIs from estimates and keep budget worksheets, billing requests, and change orders accurate.
• Draft proposals to near-final state including grammar, layout, inclusions, exclusions, and assumptions.
• Manage new job intake, communication plans, and production setup across systems like Project Mark.
• As the role matures, review scope on fires, floods, and capital improvement projects and build bid forms.
