Job summary

ARMI is seeking a technically proficient Project Engineer for Process & Utility Piping to work onsite in Lafayette, GA. You will gather requirements, develop installation designs, and ensure compliance with codes and safety standards while collaborating with Project Managers and Foremen to keep installations aligned with the engineered designs.

The role requires 3+ years in piping projects, proficiency in 2D/3D CAD tools, and travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical degree preferred or related industry experience.
  • 3+ years in process and utility piping projects.
  • Experience with 2D/3D software and creating drawings.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, Inventor and/or CAD.
  • Experience with Procore – Project Management Software preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% and to work nights/weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to gather technical requirements for industrial process and utility piping projects.
  • Develop installation design packages including floor plans, piping layouts, equipment placement, and system elevations.
  • Ensure all engineering designs meet applicable codes, safety standards, and company best practices.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Foremen to ensure installations follow engineered designs and project specifications.
  • Provide daily technical guidance and problem-solving support to field teams during installation.
  • Review field conditions and make real-time engineering decisions to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Identify design changes due to field conditions and support documentation for scope changes and change orders.
  • Conduct final inspections, develop as-built drawings, and support project closeout and customer turnover.

How you will make an impact

What You Need to Succeed
  • Mechanical degree preferred and/or applicable industry experience.
  • Experience managing projects with Process and Utility Piping Systems forfoodprocess industry.
  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in Process and Utility PipingSystemsusing 2D and 3D software.
  • Create manufacturing drawings and schedules.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, Inventor, and/or CAD.
  • Proficiencyin reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience with Procore – Project Management Software (preferred)
  • OSHA 30, preferred.
  • Availability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Availability to work nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check
