Job summary

Seatrium Houston seeks an experienced package engineering professional to oversee and coordinate multi-discipline engineering activities for complex equipment packages in the Oil & Gas sector. You will support planning, tracking, and execution across Process, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, and other disciplines.

The role requires 8+ years in engineering/package management, strong communication and vendor management skills, and the ability to drive packages through design

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Chemical, Marine or related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering, project engineering, or equipment package management within Oil & Gas, Offshore, FPSO/FPU, Marine or EPC industries.
  • Experience managing equipment packages and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities.
  • Strong understanding of engineering standards, industry codes, procurement engineering and vendor management processes.
  • Familiarity with project planning, progress monitoring, cost control and document management systems.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills; able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Experience supporting vendor inspections, FATs, construction, commissioning, and handover activities is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the contract scope, technical specifications, and engineering requirements for assigned equipment packages.
  • Support the Engineering Manager in planning, coordinating, and monitoring package engineering activities, deliverables, schedules, and manhour performance.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities and interfaces involving Process, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Structural, Safety and other disciplines.
  • Prepare and maintain package execution plans, schedules, action registers, interface registers, punch lists, and progress reports.
  • Coordinate the preparation and review of technical requisitions, vendor documents, drawings, calculations, and data sheets.
  • Act as the primary engineering interface with vendors, procurement, clients, subcontractors, classification societies, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure timely resolution of technical queries, engineering issues, design clashes, and interface concerns.
  • Monitor vendor engineering progress and ensure vendor information is incorporated into the project design in a timely manner.
  • Organize and participate in design reviews, technical meetings, FATs, and engineering workshops; prepare meeting minutes and track action items to closure.
  • Track package engineering progress, deliverables, resource utilization, and engineering manhours against approved budgets and schedules.
  • Support Management of Change (MOC) activities and ensure engineering changes are properly reviewed, documented, and implemented.
  • Coordinate with Construction and Commissioning teams to ensure package engineering supports fabrication, installation, commissioning, and system completion priorities.
  • Ensure all package engineering activities comply with project quality, safety, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support project close-out activities, including as-built documentation, lessons learned, and final engineering dossiers.

Requirements:
