Job summary

Winchester Ammunition in Independence, MO is seeking a Project Engineer for NGSW Equipping & Energetics. You will support energetic manufacturing processes from concept to completion, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help implement equipment and process improvements. The role requires a bachelor's in engineering, at least 3 years of related experience, and preferably energetics exposure. Relocation is available for local candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• Experience working with energetics preferred.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems and machinery.
• Ability to travel approximately 10%.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, modifying, and upgrading machinery and production equipment to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability.
• Develop equipment technical requirements.
• Conduct data analysis to drive decisions.
• Launch new equipment and processes including maintenance and operations procedure development.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve machinery-related issues, reducing downtime and enhancing system performance.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize production processes, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and implement best practices for operational success.
• Prepare technical reports, project documentation, cost estimates, and progress updates to support informed decision-making and project management.
