Job summary

Winchester Ammunition is seeking a Project Engineer for NGSW Equipping in Independence, MO. The role focuses on manufacturing processes such as metal forming, cold heading, and general production while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement equipment and improve process performance.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, at least 3 years of related experience, and the ability to travel ~10%. U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
Solid understanding of mechanical systems and machinery.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.
Willingness to travel approximately 10% and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
U.S. citizen; ability to access ITAR data; security clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in designing, modifying, and upgrading machinery and production equipment to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability.
Participate in site visits, inspections, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve machinery-related issues, reducing downtime and enhancing system performance.
Collaborate with teams to optimize production processes, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and implement best practices for operational success.
Prepare technical reports, project documentation, cost estimates, and progress updates to support informed decision-making and project management.
