Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Houston, TX, is seeking a Project Engineer to lead development and execution of natural gas power generation projects within the Oil, Gas and Marine division.

You will be the primary interface between the customer’s engineering activity and the GCM34 Application Engineering team, from proposal through commissioning. The role requires 5+ years in the industry, HV electrical systems experience, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BS) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven experience with medium- and high-voltage electrical systems and related industrial power environments.
• Cross-functional project engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Listen, understand, document, and communicate the customer’s technical inquiries to the supporting application engineering team.
• Deliver professional and organized responses that delight the customer and the owner’s engineers.
