Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our National Mission Critical team in Phoenix. This role supports the project team by learning Ryan processes, procedures and policies while contributing to the completion of designated projects.

The candidate will generate RFIs, track approvals, coordinate shop drawings, assist with vendor/subcontractor deliveries, and participate in safety, logistics, permits, punchlists and scheduling to support project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering/Management or related field.
• 1+ year of experience in commercial construction.
• Willingness to travel as needed to execute projects.

Responsibilities

• Help generate RFIs and track approvals.
• Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and shop drawing coordination.
• Learn project dimensional control requirements while field verifying dimensions to back check the shop drawing approval process.
• Assist in the coordination and tracking of Vendor and Subcontractor deliveries.
• Learn Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Gain an understanding for overall site logistics.
• Participate in and gain an understanding of the city and jurisdictional permit inspection process.
• Keep office and jobsite plans updated with RFIs and ASIs.
• Accompany Ryan personnel (and Owner) on Punchlist inspections, record Punchlist items and monitor completion of Punchlist work.
• Participate in preparing and updating the project schedule.
