Job summary

Michels Corporation is seeking a Project Engineer in Lomira, WI, to support project completion efforts. In this role, you will work closely with project managers and superintendents, starting your day on-site to ensure the crew has everything they need while managing project documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering and experience in construction. Extensive travel (80%) is required, and the company offers a comprehensive benefits program including health and dental plans.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of related experience in construction or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in waste water, concrete, or heavy civil projects.
  • Must possess a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record.

  • Start day on-site with the crew ensuring they have necessary supplies.

As a Project Engineer, your key responsibilities will be to serve as a key team member supporting all needs to help with a successful project completion. Your day would often start on-site with the crew ensuring they have everything they need for the day. Then you would perform all required documentation and record entry for the project and start to plan for the next days and weeks ahead to set the crew and project up for success. You will work closely and communicate with both Project Managers and Superintendents.

What it takes:
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering or related and 2+ years of related experience in Construction, or equivalent combination of both
  • 1-3 years of experience in waste water, concrete, or heavy civil
  • Industrial and Mechanical background preferred
  • Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record
  • Travel required; this position requires extensive travel of 80%
