Job summary

Composite Impulse is seeking an engineering professional to design components and jigs for aerospace, motorsport and maritime applications. You will work from concept to production, applying your fibre composite expertise and collaborating with production, QA, customers and suppliers.

You will document design decisions precisely and communicate clearly. A degree in engineering and strong CAD skills with Fibre Composites experience are essential, with fluency in German and English required.

• At least 2 years’ experience in fibre composites.
• SolidWorks and CATIA proficient, not just basic knowledge.
• Analytical thinking, precision and clear communication.
• Fluent in German and English – both required.

Job description

At Composite Impulse, you’ll design components that take to the skies in aircraft, accelerate around race tracks or withstand the rigours of the high seas – from the initial sketch right through to the final approved drawing.

• You’ll design components, tools and jigs – using SolidWorks and/or CATIA.
• You’ll see projects through from concept to production, taking on real responsibility along the way.
• You’ll select materials and processes – because you know why one is better than the other.
• You’ll work directly with production, quality control, customers and suppliers.
• You document everything accurately in accordance with specifications – because the aviation industry leaves no room for inaccuracy.

What you bring to the table

• Degree in engineering (aerospace, mechanical engineering, lightweight construction or similar) – completed.
• At least 2 years’ experience in fibre composites.
• SolidWorks and/or CATIA: proficient, not just ‘basic knowledge’.
• You think analytically, work with precision and communicate clearly.
• Fluent in German and English – both are required.
