TRUMPF Inc. in Farmington, CT is seeking a Manufacturing Project Manager to lead production initiatives for new products, balancing short- and long-term strategies.

You will manage cross-functional teams, ensure on-time delivery within budget, and drive continuous improvements using SYNCHRO principles.

Required degree in manufacturing/mechanical engineering (or related) and SAP/MS Office proficiency; substantial experience in manufacturing settings is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, welding engineering or related field is required.
• Must have strong working knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Familiarity with TRUMPF products is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans while incorporating short- and long-term production strategies for new products.
• Manage project team activities, communicate changes and progress to team members, and report to upper management as needed.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and track progress, perform risk analyses, monitor work to ensure quality and implement improvements.
• Meet productivity standards and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Manage multiple projects and project teams, including process improvement and cost-saving projects.
• Support production planning, product transfers, plant layout, continuous process improvement and Lean Manufacturing following SYNCHRO principles.
• Support SYNCHRO activities and improve product flow by applying standardized procedures and value stream mapping.
