Job summary

APTIM seeks a Project Engineer in our Solid Waste Engineering Group to support a portfolio of projects. This role can be remote or based in California’s Concord office.

The candidate will perform field inspections, prepare civil layouts, and contribute to regulatory reports while collaborating with clients and teammates on multidisciplinary assignments. Requirements include a Civil/Environmental/Mechanical engineering degree, an EIT, and at least 6 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required with emphasis in civil/environmental/mechanical disciplines.
• EIT certification required; PE strongly preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience on multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections and CQA oversight.
• Prepare site, grading and drainage, and conceptual layouts for civil earthworks.
• Develop engineering calculations and supporting analyses.
• Conduct groundwater, leachate, stormwater sampling and testing.
• Compile regulatory compliance reports and work plans.
• Collaborate with team members and coordinate with contractors and clients.
