Job Description

Compensation: Competitive salary starting at $100k+ (commensurate with experience) with full benefits, health insurance fully covered, and a path to ownership (if desired)

About Us:

We are a small, dynamic engineering firm based in Allentown, PA, specializing in land development solutions. Our team of professionals thrives in a collaborative and hands-on environment, delivering tailored designs for diverse projects, including commercial, healthcare, and education developments. We are seeking a talented and motivated Project Engineer to join us and take the lead on land development projects.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer with a background in land development and stormwater management to take on a key role within our organization. This position involves both project management and technical engineering responsibilities, ensuring engagement in every stage of the process, from design to permitting to project completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Professional Engineer (PE) or an EIT on the path to licensure to make a meaningful impact, with potential for company ownership in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare land development designs, including stormwater management, erosion & sediment control (E&S), and NPDES permitting.
  2. Manage projects from start to finish, coordinating with subconsultants and clients to deliver high-quality results.
  3. Utilize Civil 3D and related stormwater software for design and analysis.
  4. Oversee the work of three talented designers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
  6. Balance technical engineering tasks with project management responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT with a plan to pursue licensure.
  • 3+ years of experience in land development design, with a strong focus on stormwater management.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D and other stormwater-related software.
  • Experience with permitting processes, including NPDES and E&S.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to work on diverse projects ranging from small commercial developments to large-scale institutional projects.
  • Hands-on involvement in engineering tasks, not just project oversight.
  • Path to ownership within the firm as part of succession planning.
  • Collaborative, small-team environment offering broad exposure to the entire project lifecycle.
  • Full benefits package, including 100% employer-paid health insurance, vacation, sick, and personal time.
