SUMMARY

The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for providing civil engineering support for a wide variety of land development projects including residential, commercial, institutional, industrial, resort, recreation, infrastructure, and attraction.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE

Our exciting and entrepreneurial culture will require you to think creatively, solve problems and meet the needs of our clients daily. A typical day might include the following:

  • Preparing and overseeing civil engineering design for site geometry, grading, drainage, roadway, water distribution, wastewater collection/transmission, parks and other civil improvements.
  • Preparing and overseeing development of design drawings, technical specifications, reports, cost estimates and other project deliverables.
  • Analyzing technical information, performing engineering calculations, and advancing design concepts into effective and financially feasible engineering designs.
  • Authoring technical reports such as due diligence reports, feasibility reports, design reports, and technical memoranda.
  • Providing technical support throughout all project stages from request for proposal through final design and construction.
  • Serving as Engineer of Record for various projects and/or project tasks.
  • Preparing and participating in client meetings and presentations.
  • Providing leadership and guidance for engineering interns and technicians.

“MUST HAVE” QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related engineering field.
  • Professional Engineering license.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in planning, design and permitting of land development projects.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Highly organized with good time management skills.
  • Experience in the use of AutoCAD Civil3D.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD, ICPR, HEC-RAS and other engineering design software.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE

  • Experience with MicroStation ORD.
  • Previous work experience in an AEC related firm.
  • FDOT Advanced MOT Certification.
