ColonialWebb is seeking a Project Engineer Intern to support the Project Manager and Construction Superintendents with technical information to ensure compliance with engineering standards. The internship offers hands-on experience in a full-service MEP contracting environment.

The role is ideal for a student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Construction, or Construction Management, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, problem-solving, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Construction, or Construction Management; or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• Willingness to work hard within a team, learn a ton, and have fun.
• Demonstrate analysis and problem-solving skills to resolve technical design challenges cost-effectively.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate ability to think creatively and pay attention to details.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Capable of maintaining a high energy level for a dynamic workload.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and practices.
• Assist Project Manager by providing information to Construction Manager, Subcontractors, and Start-Up teams.
• Review submittal data for compliance with contract documents.
• Assist in interpreting the schedule and communicating it to the team.
• Develop and submit RFIs and expedite deliveries.
• Enter purchase orders and maintain project documents.
