Job summary

Ryan Companies US Inc in Westmont, IL is seeking a Project Engineer Intern to support project teams and learn construction processes, policies, and systems. You will gain hands-on exposure to budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders while contributing to daily site coordination and safety.

This internship emphasizes scheduling, QA/QC, and closeout observations, with collaboration across disciplines and real-world field conditions via our reality capture program.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering/management or related field within 18 months of graduation.
• Able to work 40 hours/week for at least three months.
• Knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control.
• Ability to read contracts, specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders.
• Develop understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control and safety.
• Complete critical inspections and closeout observations to keep the project schedule moving.
• Coordinate design documentation with real-world field conditions through a reality capture program.
• Work with high performing teams in a fast-paced environment to solve new challenges daily.
