Job summary

Ryan Companies US Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer Intern to assist the project team on designated projects and learn construction industry processes, budgets, invoices, contracts, and change orders.

You will develop job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control and safety understanding while pursuing a related degree. The role requires 40 hours/week for at least a three-month term, with opportunities to apply knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control, contracts, and drawings.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering/management or closely related field and within 18 months of graduating.
• Must be able to work 40 hours a week for at least a three-month term.
• General knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods.
• Ability to read and understand contracts, specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project team in the completion of designated projects while learning construction industry processes and Ryan policies.
• Gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts and change orders.
• Develop first-hand understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control and safety.
