Job summary

Sealed Air in Lester Prairie is seeking a Fitments Project Engineer to lead project and budget schedules, collaborating with internal resources and customers. Expect minimal travel up to 10%.

The role offers variety from machine and mold installations to hands-on lab work, building a broad technical skill set and clear growth path across the company. You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Sales and Operations to meet key business goals and ensure documentation meets quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Six years of technical engineering experience in a regulated industry.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with plastics engineering, injection mold design, and CAD.
• Proficiency with Minitab, CAD, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical performance of suppliers in the manufacturing of injection molded components.
• Drive tooling fabrication and process optimization using scientific injection molding principles, validation, and production release.
• Manage multiple projects from feasibility through implementation including charter & scope, detailed plan, defined schedule, risks mitigation, progress reports and cost management.
• Contribute to Design for Manufacturability input during product development phases including plastic part design and mold design & construction.
• Support tooling and processing troubleshooting, and drive problem solving with suppliers and internal workstreams.
• Ensure proper documentation to meet quality system requirements.
• Participate cross-functionally across Engineering, Quality, Sales, and Operations to meet key business goals.
• Attend and oversee factory and site acceptance testing of new molds and equipment.
