Job summary

Ames Construction, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer on day-to-day management of a project located in Utah.

You will collaborate with the project team, owners, designers, subcontractors, and workforce to keep schedules, budgets, and safety on track. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders, and ensuring proper document control and meeting attendance.

Qualifications

• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and proactive motivation.
• Excellent time management, multitasking, and prioritization.
• High attention to detail with ability to spot discrepancies.
• Minimum 2 years of construction experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Proficient with project control software and Microsoft applications; Primavera knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support project team including Project Manager, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and staff.
• Build relationships and communicate with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and workforce.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, schedules, and RFIs.
• Monitor quality control, safety, and environmental programs.
• Assist with monthly billings, cash flow projections, and change orders.
• Maintain document control including submittals, schedules, and drawings.
• Assist with delivery, inventory, and warehousing of materials and equipment.
• Attend and/or lead meetings and resolve field problems with subcontractors.
