Job summary

E.S. Wagner Company is seeking a Project Engineer - Industrial Water Treatment to lead the planning and execution of projects, aiming for timely completion while maintaining cost efficiency.

You will keep management informed with clear updates on progress, identify risks early, enforce site safety standards, and ensure QA/QC alignment with project specs.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree and strong communication skills, with CAD and Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, including oral and written skills.
• CAD and Excel proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of projects to achieve timely completion while maintaining cost efficiency.
• Keep management informed through clear and timely updates on project progress.
• Proactively identify risks, evaluate impacts, and implement plans to minimize disruptions.
• Champion a strong safety culture by enforcing jobsite safety standards and practices.
• Oversee quality expectations by ensuring work aligns with project specifications and established QA/QC procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve field issues as they arise, making decisions that keep projects moving forward.
• Develop, maintain, and drive the Master Project Schedule to ensure project milestones are met.
• Partner with the preconstruction team to support planning, budgeting, and project setup.
• Coordinate with Finance to initiate billing processes and monitor payment timelines.
• Provide regular updates on schedule and financial performance through Operations Review Meetings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of progressive construction experience
• Civil Engineering or Construction Management bachelor’s degree or possesses equivalent experience.

• Computer skills, including proficiency with CAD and Microsoft Excel preferred.
• Strong ability to work both autonomously and with active management involvement.
• Demonstrated ability to promote a safe work environment.
• Ability to problem solve and adjust to changing circumstances.
