Job summary

Mass. Electric Construction Co. (MEC) is seeking a Project Engineer to support construction activities by planning, organizing, and implementing processes to manage information and project KPIs.

The role will support a Project Manager on larger projects and lead technical and administrative staff to facilitate project management. The position is based in Vancouver, WA or Irvine, CA and requires 7+ years in construction/engineering with a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience and education in project or field engineering.
• Demonstrated leadership and people-management abilities; strong communication and planning skills.
• Ability to set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality and productivity for subordinates.

Responsibilities

• Develop full understanding of contract plans and specs.
• Review, analyze and resolve design/construction problems with design team, project leadership and client.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with requirements and support project schedule.
