Job summary

Metro Consulting Associates LLC is seeking an experienced project engineer to manage civil design projects, coordinate with clients and agencies, and lead project teams through plan reviews and deliverables.

The role requires producing CAD drawings, guiding contractors and consultants, and ensuring deadlines, budget, and quality standards are met across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for everyday project activities, quality control, project deliverables, and plan set review
• Make engineering design decisions independently or with minimal oversight
• Serve as main point-of-contact for all project-related questions and concerns from internal and external stakeholders
• Lead communication with contractors and subcontractors on all engineering tasks
• Proactively manage design issues, budgetary concerns, and other project-related complications
• Coordinate regularly with other internal and/or external team members, clients, and municipal agencies
• Perform quality assurance/quality control checks regularly and proactively resolve any quality issues
• Recommend solutions to technical or regulatory issues for permit compliance
• Lead and coordinate large projects ensuring deadlines, technical aspects, and quality and financial expectations of design intent are met
• Perform field inspections of existing site conditions and water, sewer, road, and other infrastructure as necessary
• Produce drawings using computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software, and/or modify drawings as necessary
