Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Project Engineer II to provide entry-level engineering support and coordination for defense-related projects. The role reports to the Systems Engineering Manager in the Strategic Systems Engineering Department, based in Folsom, CA, with Reno, NV as an alternative location.

You will participate in IPTs, help maintain schedules, track deliverables, and assist in SOW preparation while developing essential engineering skills for mission-critical programs.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of the engineering project lifecycle from requirements to delivery.
• Exposure to the aerospace/defense industry, preferably on DoD/ MDA programs.
• Clear written and verbal communication with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to identify and escalate technical risks to senior team members.

Responsibilities

• Support the technical planning and execution of assigned work packages on defense and aerospace projects.
• Participate in IPT meetings, capturing action items, minutes, and follow-ups.
• Assist with maintaining integrated master schedules and milestone tracking.
• Support subcontract technical execution by tracking deliverables and interface information.
• Assist in preparing SOW inputs for internal and subcontracted efforts.
• Draft and maintain engineering documentation for senior review.
• Track program deliverables and contract requirements.
