Job summary

Enerfab, Inc. in NW Indiana/Chicago seeks a Project Engineer II to support the Senior Project Manager on large-scale construction projects.

You will help with planning, budgeting, vendor coordination, and scheduling to ensure on-time delivery. You will collaborate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and field operations, prepare detailed estimates and cost analyses, monitor expenditures, and maintain project records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 6 years of relevant experience in estimating, project coordination, or construction management.
• Demonstrated proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills with proven ability to interpret and manage budgets, estimates, and cost reports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and influence cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of construction industry practices, regulations, and safety standards.
• Ability to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Estimating & Budget Support: prepare detailed project estimates, budgets, and cost analyses.
• Project Coordination & Planning: develop project strategies including scope, timelines, and budgets.
• Scheduling & Timeline Management: develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance: ensure activities meet industry standards and client requirements.
• Risk Identification & Mitigation: identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Client & Stakeholder Relations: maintain clear communication with clients and external stakeholders.
• Project Reporting & Documentation: prepare status reports and maintain records.
• Contract Administration: assist in reviewing and managing project contracts.
