Job summary

Enerfab, a leading provider of fabrication and construction services, seeks a Project Engineer II for Enerfab Power & Industrial in NW Indiana/Chicago. You will lead estimating, planning, scheduling, QA, risk management, and client coordination on large industrial projects.

Travel to project sites is required, and you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scope, budgets, and timelines are met while maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 6 years of relevant experience in estimating, project coordination, or construction management.
• Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Estimate projects with the Estimating department, prepare budgets and cost analyses.
• Coordinate projects with cross‑functional teams to meet scope and timelines.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules; monitor milestones and risks.
• Support QA, safety compliance, and documentation for client requirements.
• Identify and mitigate project risks; address change orders and variances.
• Maintain client and stakeholder relations; provide status updates and feedback.
• Prepare project reports, meeting minutes, and action items for management.
• Assist with contract administration and ensure compliance with terms.
• Support procurement and subcontractor coordination to align with specs.
