Job summary

CECO Environmental is seeking a Project Engineer focused on Environmental Air Pollution Control Systems. The role involves coordinating engineering, procurement, and field activities from award through commissioning, acting as the technical liaison among customers, vendors, and internal teams.

The candidate will support equipment like regenerators, oxidizers, and related control systems, ensuring project schedules, technical compliance, and successful startup across customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering or equivalent accepted
• 5+ years industrial project engineering experience
• Experience with air pollution control systems and related equipment
• Project execution including scheduling and critical path management
• Experience leading vendors and subcontractors
• Field commissioning/startup experience preferred
• Customer-facing industrial project management experience
• Basic knowledge of instrumentation and controls and PLC/HMI systems
• Ability to read P&IDs and mechanical drawings and understand operation sequences
• Proficiency in MS Project for planning and tracking

Responsibilities

• Support air pollution control system projects from purchase to commissioning
• Review contracts, technical specifications, and vendor proposals
• Coordinate with customers, vendors and subcontractors to resolve issues
• Provide site support during installation, startup and commissioning
• Guide project teams through lifecycle and manage change orders
• Monitor schedules and critical path activities using MS Project
• Prepare technical documentation and communications for stakeholders
• Travel to project sites as needed to support installations
