Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking an Engineer II / Project Manager Engineering II on behalf of our client in Canton, MA. This is a 1-year contract role that blends engineering excellence with project management to drive capital projects from initiation to completion across energy facilities and large infrastructure upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related).
• 5-7+ years of engineering experience (preferred for Level II).
• Minimum 2+ years of project management experience.
• Experience in utility, energy, or oil & gas industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle project management including scope development, execution, and closeout.
• Validate project justification and ensure stakeholder requirements are incorporated into scope.
• Manage project budget, schedule, quality, and safety performance.
• Coordinate procurement activities including hiring engineering consultants, contractors, and ordering materials/equipment.
• Oversee project execution and conduct periodic field visits to monitor progress.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements for vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
• Review and support design documentation and engineering drawings.
• Conduct vendor/shop inspections and witness equipment testing when needed.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, environmental, sourcing, project controls, and engineering teams.
• Facilitate project closeout and transition to operations teams.
