Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Project Engineer II to join a team focused on driving program performance in process automation. You will partner with engineers to develop costs, schedules, milestones, and technology roadmaps, while improving engineering quality and productivity.

You will design and test system hardware, configure networks, and interface with customers and 3rd parties. Travel up to 20% and a STEM degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (STEM).
• 2+ years of experience in process control automation in industrial environments.
• 2+ years of experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
• Ability to travel up to 20% to local US sites when needed.

Responsibilities

• Implements standard engineering solutions within budgeted time and cost.
• Work with Senior Engineers to design project documents and configure system hardware.
• Test system/network functionalities and interfaces with 3rd party systems.
• Communicate with customers and keep project status updates.
• Understand and apply Experion technology (C300, Control Builder, HMI).
• Develop project estimates and analyze performance against targets.
• Collaborate with project team to meet delivery, quality, and cost targets.
• Serve as technical interface for Distributed Control Systems (DCS) topics.
• Interface with vendors for third-party equipment.

Project Engineer II

Be part of a team assessing and driving achievement of program specific performance within Honeywell HPS. You will partner with world class engineers and leaders to develop program cost, schedules and milestones, define technology roadmaps, and drive improvements in engineering quality and productivity.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Implements standard engineering solutions to successful completion and within budgeted time and cost constraints
• Work with Senior Engineers to design and issue project documents, set up and configure system hardware (switches, routers, servers, stations, firewall, etc), test system/network functionalities, implement and test interfaces with 3rd party systems
• Be able to communicate with customers
• Know and keep yourself updated on Honeywell hardware and software solutions (Experion technology like C300, Control Builder, HMI)
• Estimation development and analysis
• Work with the project team to meet the project targets (delivery, quality and costs)
• Be a technical interface for matters related to Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
• Vendor interface on third-party equipment
• Report project status updates to Project Manager and Lead Engineer

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
• 2+ years of experience in process control automation within industrial environments like oil & gas refineries, chemical plants, or paper mills
• 2+ years of experience in Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
• Ability to travel up 20% to local US sites when needed
