McKinstry is looking to add a Project Engineer - New Construction to our growing New Construction Mechanical team in Seattle. As a Project Engineer, you will support the Request for Proposal (RFP) and procurement process along with tracking current and future jobs, reviewing contracts, drawings, and specifications. You will also assist with scheduling, developing the scope of work with subcontractors, and preparing monthly financial reporting. Strong sense of ownership and technical soundness are required.
You will communicate with general contractors, architects, engineers, and owners, and interact with leaders within the industry. You will work closely with our project management team to solve problems and gain hands‑on experience in the field.
This role will create and respond to requests for information (RFI). You will develop, process, and track equipment, materials, and informational submittals, process change orders, create billing breakdowns, and conduct estimates.
The pay range for this position is $29.55 - $48.89 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. This is a non‑exempt role and will be paid hourly. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
