Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a team-oriented professional to support the project team on smaller, less complex projects. The role involves evaluating changes, managing change orders, and assisting with procurement of equipment, materials, and subcontractors.

You will stay abreast of industry trends and help resolve basic project questions as they arise. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and basic ERP, CAD, and MS Office skills, plus ability to read mechanical and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent education, training and experience.
• Basic ERP skills to include inquiring, reviewing and printing job cost reports.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC or plumbing design.
• Ability to read mechanical and plumbing drawings.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including CAD and Microsoft Office, such as Excel.

Responsibilities

• Estimates the impact of project changes and provides information to applicable management.
• Manages change orders. Ensures they are completed accurately and tracked as required.
• Procures equipment and materials and services; and participates in the selection and hiring of subcontractors.
• Stays current on emerging trends.
• Analyzes and resolves basic questions and problems as needed.
