Pepper Construction is seeking a Project Engineer I to support project management and field supervision on diverse construction projects. You will help with safety, budgeting, scheduling, and documentation while promoting best‑in‑class practices on site.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Co-Op / Internship experience in construction field preferred.
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project budgets, estimation, and value engineering.
• Facilitate subcontractor bid processes and tracking of documentation.
• Process, distribute, and track project documentation using software.
• Negotiate subcontracts and material buyouts.
• Plan and schedule projects.
• Manage jobs including subcontractor coordination, safety and quality.
• Manage costs and forecast through project completion.
• Perform project closeout.
