Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer I focused on Fuel Systems, supporting Phase 6 and the production factory. You will contribute to defining scope, tracking progress, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet objectives, with relocation assistance available.

You will work under a Sr/Lead Project Engineer to grow skills in project management and engineering design, gaining experience in scheduling, communication, and product knowledge across aerospace fuel

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in technical fields (science/engineering/math).
  • 0–2 years in engineering or related roles.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine engineering talents in a team-based culture with innovative products and technologies.
  • Apply engineering knowledge to develop/improve aircraft Fuel Systems.
  • Work under the direction of Sr/Lead Project Engineer.
  • Plan work packages and develop cost, schedule, and milestones for small to medium development activities.
  • Interface with technical leadership, program manager, and customers.

Project Engineer I - Fuel Systems (Finance)

As a Project Engineer I here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will contribute to the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects, supporting the team to ensure timely and quality delivery – focused on Phase 6 – supporting the production factory. This entry-level role offers a great opportunity to develop your project management skills while working on impactful engineering initiatives.

In this role, you will impact project success by assisting in defining project scope, tracking progress, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine your engineering talents in a team-based culture by working with innovative products and technologies
  • Apply engineering knowledge, tools, and principals to develop/improve aircraft Fuel Systems
  • Works under the direction of Sr/Lead Project Engineer
  • Assignments are geared to develop project management and technical skills and to build in-depth product knowledge
  • Work closely with peers and team members, customers, and suppliers to ensure project specifications are met and completed in a timely manner
  • Supports technical projects or phases of projects involving the design and development of new products or improvement of core products and/or processes
  • Plans work packages and develops cost, schedule, and milestones for small to medium product development activities Interface with technical leadership, program manager, and customers

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in technical disciplines such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • 0-2 years of experience in engineering or related roles, preferably with internship or co-op experience
  • Basic understanding of project management principles and engineering processes
  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools and Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting
  • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals and ability to learn technical software relevant to the discipline.

  • 1+ years' experience in applying advanced design, development, evaluation, and quality control techniques to complex engineering projects
  • 1+ years' experience managing engineering projects autonomously and without supervision
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Able to effectively communicate and present status, actions, recommendations, and technical information clearly
  • Ability to work well in cross-functional teams
  • Effective project management and organization skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and investigative skillsAbility to support design decisions, deal with ambiguity and drive for results

  • Demonstrated track record for problem solving, managing requirements, and meeting commitments

  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
  • Demonstrated experience with design tools appropriate for the field (Mathcad / Matlab, 3D Solid Modeling CAD Systems etc.)
  • Demonstrated academic excellence (3.0 GPA and higher)
  • Demonstrated extra-curricular/leadership experience
