Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking a Project Engineer I to support Construction Management in the Pittsburgh, PA region. The role emphasizes client relations, schedule control, documentation, and collaboration with designers, contractors, and inspectors.

Responsibilities include overseeing schedules, coordinating meetings, preparing change orders, and ensuring project information is accurate and complete. A BS in engineering or CM is required with substantial construction experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CM, or related field from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 10 years of construction experience.
• Experience with local agencies such as PRT, PennDOT, PA Turnpike, PGH2O, ALCOSAN, and ACAA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with clients, designers, and contractors.
• Actively manage project schedule from inception to close out.
• Participate in weekly progress meetings, create minutes, assign action items, and follow up.
• Upload and manage all pertinent project information.
• Develop and implement collaborative solutions to project issues and problems.
• Prepare project related change orders and obtain approvals.
• Manage job work item turnover and close-out to meet owner/user expectations.
• Assist and coordinate with 3rd party engineering and special inspections requirements.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders involved in construction projects.
