Superior Construction in Florida is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to assist the project manager in safe, profitable execution on heavy civil/highway sites. You will help develop execution strategies, monitor performance metrics, and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
This full-time, on-site role requires BS in Construction or Engineering and field-based leadership with 0–4 years of tenure. Travel up to 20% is expected; strong communication and safety training are essential.
Summary/Objective
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to assist, support, and collaborates on the management and execution of a project in a safe and profitable manner.
The candidate will work with their assigned project manager to help achieve their respective project management objectives.
This position will have direct reports and supervisory requirements.
Additionally, a pressurized environment is the norm.Employee will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to navigate rugged terrain, climb substantial heights, and work over and on water. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The employee must have excellent stamina.
This is a full-time exempt position. This position sometimes requires long hours, holidays and weekend work.
The role will require up to 20% of travel.
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license prior to employment.
