Job summary

Southland Industries in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a project engineer to support the project team on smaller, less complex projects. You will estimate the impact of project changes, manage change orders, procure equipment and services, and participate in subcontractor selection.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent, plus basic ERP skills, HVAC or plumbing knowledge, and CAD/Microsoft Office proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent education, training and experience.
  • Basic ERP skills to include inquiring, reviewing and printing job cost reports.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC or plumbing design.
  • Ability to read mechanical and plumbing drawings.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office, such as Excel.

  • Manages change orders. Ensures they are completed accurately and tracked as required.
