Job summary

Rheem North America in Fort Smith, AR, is hiring a Project Engineer I to drive New Product Development projects using the PDP framework. You will lead project planning, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure budgets, schedules, and deliverables are met.

Qualifications

The Project Engineer I is responsible for managing all aspects of project assignments using the Product Development Process (PDP) as a guide to achieve project objectives for New Product Development projects. Responsible for product maintenance, cost improvement, quality improvement and similar projects. Directs and coordinates a project team in the planning, organization, implementation, and completion of engineering project assignments.

This position will supports Rheem North America, located in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This is a hybrid position.

• Project Planning and Resource Allocation:(a) Lead and manage engineering projects, including project planning and resource allocation; (b) Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and goals.
• Detailed Project Planning:(a) Develop detailed project plans that include a comprehensive list of scope, deliverables, schedules, and budgets; (b) Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Team Coordination:(a) Coordinate and oversee the work of project team members; (b) Delegate tasks based on individual skill sets and abilities to ensure efficient project completion.
• Progress Reporting:(a) Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders and clients; (b) Keep track of all site safety and legal requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is typically required.
