MYR Group Inc. and its Sturgeon Electric subsidiary are seeking a Project Engineer I/II to support construction management in the electrical industry. Projects span federal, state, and municipal clients across the United States.

You will assist with plans, specs, and interface with senior project managers, helping to prepare deliverables and maintain project documentation. Bachelor's degree and 1–5 years' experience preferred; strong ability to read blueprints and proficiency with MS Office

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Project Engineer I/II is responsible for the support of functions related to construction management in the electrical construction industry. Projects may include performance of work for federal, state and municipal clients throughout the United States. The Project Engineer I/II assists with the preparation of plans, applicable specifications, and interfaces with and provides general project support to senior project management professionals.

Sturgeon Electric’s Commercial and Industrial (C&I)electrical construction division specializes in large-scale commercial electrical projects, telecommunications, traffic signalization, gas distribution, high voltage distribution service and maintenance to clients. We also offer design-build and pre-construction services and has in-house pre-fabrication and AutoCAD capabilities.

  ABOUT YOU

  Qualifications

  • 1 - 5 years of experience in the construction process of commercial electrical operations or general construction experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree

  Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera at an intermediate or higher level
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think practically while remaining detail-oriented
  • Operational knowledge in Bluebeam

  Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary $60,000-$100,000 / year
    • Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
