Job summary

RK Industries, LLC seeks a Project Engineer to support modular data centers, power modules, and critical infrastructure. You will bridge design, supply chain and manufacturing, handling admin tasks essential for project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience with modular datacenters, power modules and electrical infrastructure preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Project).
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu preferred.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and models.
  • Knowledge of Bills of Materials and typical mechanical, electrical and architectural build materials.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Project Engineer to support the execution and delivery of modular data centers, power modules, and custom critical infrastructure. The Project Engineer will serve as a member of the Operations team and work closely with the Project Manager of a project. This role serves as a technical bridge between design engineering, supply chain and manufacturing and is responsible for the administrative functions necessary for the successful completion of modular build projects.

Role Responsibilities
  • Assist with and/or perform the following as delegated by the Project Manager for the project:
  • Support contract administration by maintaining documentation and preparing PM‑directed correspondence with owners, contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers.
  • Assist with customer and contractor communication, including coordination meeting minutes, distributing action items, and tracking follow‑ups.
  • Coordinate internally with RK Mission Critical’s engineering, supply chain, and production teams to ensure alignment on design requirements, material readiness, and technical information.
  • Support project controls, including maintaining project budgets, billing support documents, schedule updates, and other project trackers from kickoff through shipment.
  • Assist in coordinating project licensing and permitting requirements, ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and routed appropriately.
  • Track and report material deliveries to production, including OFCI materials, and support the PM in communicating impacts to schedule or workflow.
  • Prepare project change order packages, including cost backup, scope clarifications, and log updates, as directed by the PM.
  • Create and maintain project submittals, manage the submittal approval workflow, track responses, and communicate updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and maintain logs such as RFIs, submittal registers, risk registers, and other documentation needed to support the project team.
Qualifications
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • Experience in the development and construction of modular datacenters, power modules and electrical infrastructure preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Project) is required
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu is preferred
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and models required
  • Strong understanding of Bills of Materials and typical mechanical, electrical and architectural build materials as they pertain to modular systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) is a plus
  • Familiarity with the engineering submittal process and documentation is preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment

  • Prompt, punctual, and regular attendance during core business hours, in an office environment (not a telecommuting position), including a reliable means of transport to and from work. Ability to occasionally travel between corporate offices and jobsites within the Denver Metro Area, during work hours.
