Job summary

Ragle Inc. in West Texas is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to join our heavy civil team in Amarillo, TX. You will help plan, schedule, and supervise roadway and bridge construction while ensuring safety and quality across crews and subs.

A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and 2–4 years of field experience are preferred, with strong communication and organizational skills, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to working outdoors on active sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 2–4 years of experience in heavy civil construction (roadway, bridge, grading, or dirt work) preferred.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, materials, and construction methods.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment at all times.
• Review and uphold quality control standards.
• Ensure crews have the equipment, materials, and survey data needed before arrival.
• Track daily and weekly production through timecard and quantity reviews.
• Collaborate with crews and subcontractors to ensure progress milestones are met.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and field measurements.
• Coordinate with inspectors and owner representatives.
• Prepare three-week look-ahead schedules.
• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Support team efforts and company goals.
• Demonstrate reliability, integrity, and strong work ethic.
• Complete all assigned documentation and tasks.
