Job summary

Ragle Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead heavy civil construction projects across the HTX area, bridging the gap between project engineer and manager.

You will manage scheduling, cost tracking, budgeting, RFIs, submittals, and mentor junior staff while maintaining safety and DOT/OSHA compliance.

Candidates hold a BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with 3–7+ years of relevant experience; Procore, HCSS, Bluebeam, or Primavera preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• 3–7+ years of heavy civil construction experience
• Experience with roadway, bridge, grading, or utility projects
• Knowledge of DOT specifications and safety standards
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Procore, HCSS, Bluebeam, or Primavera (preferred)
• EIT or working toward PE (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe jobsite at all times
• Support quality control across all project scopes
• Ensure crews have materials, equipment, and survey ready prior to mobilization
• Track production through timecards and quantity reporting
• Perform quantity takeoffs and verify field measurements
• Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting
• Support RFIs, submittals, pay apps, and change orders
• Maintain 3-week look-ahead schedules
• Coordinate with inspectors, subcontractors, and owner reps
• Lead meetings and provide project updates
• Mentor junior engineers and field staff
• Ensure compliance with OSHA/DOT standards

Position Overview
