Job summary

Jobot in Philadelphia is seeking a Structural Engineering professional to lead construction projects from design through completion. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of projects.

A PE license is advantageous and a strong background in construction methods is expected. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in construction with a focus on structural

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all stages of construction from design to completion.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and professionals to deliver on time and budget.
  • Develop detailed project plans including resources, timeline, budget and risk management.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure safety and design compliance.
  • Apply advanced structural engineering techniques to solve challenges.
  • Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders.
  • Resolve issues during construction, including supplier or subcontractor disputes.
  • Continuously improve construction processes for efficiency and quality.

Salary: $65,000 - $110,000 per year

Job Details


  1. Managing and overseeing all stages of the construction process, from design to completion.

  2. Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  3. Developing detailed project plans, including resources, timeline, budget, and risk management strategies.

  4. Conducting site inspections to ensure that construction activities comply with design specifications and safety standards.

  5. Implementing advanced structural engineering techniques and methodologies to solve complex construction challenges.

  6. Preparing and presenting project updates to stakeholders, including clients, management, and team members.

  7. Resolving any issues that may arise during the construction process, from technical problems to disputes with suppliers or subcontractors.

  8. Continuously improving our construction processes and procedures to increase efficiency and quality.


Qualifications


  1. A Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.

  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on structural engineering.

  3. Proven experience managing construction projects from start to finish, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

  4. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and industry best practices.

  5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.

  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of professionals.

  7. Proficiency in using construction management software and other related tools.

  8. A professional engineering (PE) license will be considered an advantage.
