Job summary

Adecco seeks a Project Engineer to support a major wastewater treatment plant improvement program in Hilo, Hawaii. The role involves assisting with construction management activities from planning through construction, with travel across Hawaiʻi Island as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of construction, engineering, or project coordination experience.
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to work in both office and field environments.
• Ability to travel throughout Hawaiʻi Island as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support construction management activities throughout all phases of the project
• Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contractor documentation
• Assist with project scheduling, budget monitoring, and cost tracking
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and progress meetings
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders
• Maintain project documentation, logs, and reports
• Prepare weekly and monthly project updates
• Help ensure compliance with contract requirements, permitting, and safety standards
