Job summary

Newfield Construction Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer with a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and 1–3 years of experience in both public and private sectors.

The role is on-site and team-based, with opportunities to grow toward superintendent or project manager. You will support project teams with submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and project correspondence while contributing to cost control, scheduling, and closeout procedures under CT High Performance Building

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of project engineering experience in public and private sectors.
• Proficient with MS Office, Procore or similar, and BlueBeam.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Familiar with CT High Performance Building Standards and closeout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meeting minutes and project correspondence.
• Review and process submittals, shop drawings and RFIs.
• Apply basic change management and cost control procedures.
• Assist in scheduling using MS Project or Primavera P6 (preferred).
• Support project team to meet CT closeout procedures.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive project delivery.
