RPM xConstruction, LLC in McKinney, TX is seeking a Project Engineer to support our Paving Division. You will prepare, organize, and follow up on project procurement, and coordinate with estimators, suppliers, and field teams to keep projects on schedule and budget.

The role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency with MS Word/Excel, and the ability to communicate clearly with internal staff and external vendors. Typical work hours are 8am–5pm, with some overtime as projects demand.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve invoice categories
• Collaborate with estimators to identify scope gaps and ensure coverage
• Track daily quantities for analysis
• Review and correct heavy production quantities
• Develop and track short interval project schedules
• Manage subcontractor scopes and payment applications
• Set up and maintain PCO log and subcontracts change orders
• Issue submittals and RFIs and track status
• Assist project manager with deliverables for internal and external review
• Maintain utility locates, permits and approvals
• Acquire and track water meters
• Observe field processes to understand how work is built

Job description

RPM xConstruction, LLC is currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our Paving Division, who willbe responsible to prepare, organize, and follow-up on project procurement.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviews & approves the following Invoice categories
• Works with estimators identifying scope gaps and tracks to ensure items properly covered prior to project starting.

Tracks daily quantities for analysis.

Reviews and corrects Heavy Job production qty’s as needed

Development and tracking of short interval project schedules.

Manage subcontractor scopes and payment applications

Setup and maintains PCO log and subcontract change orders

Issues submittals and RFI’s. Thoroughly tracks the status of each.

Provides direction or oversight as needed.

Assists project manager with deliverables for both internal and external review.

Maintains utility locates, permits and approvals.

Acquires, tracks & returns water meters

Observes and learns field processes to gain a better understanding of how the work is built

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

Degree in Construction Management/Engineering

Skilled in use of computer and software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to learn new software.

• Demonstrates solid communication, customer service skills, and verbal/written skills with all levels of company personnel and outside vendors/suppliers.

Ability to present in a large meeting or training environment.

Demonstrates high level of organization and attention to detail.

• Position spends approximately 90% of time sitting at a desk and 10% standing or walking.

Must be available for work 8am – 5pm Monday through Friday, with some varied hours as projects require.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to computers and general office equipment at various times. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
