Job summary

Commercial Contracting Corporation seeks a Project Engineer to support the project team in scheduling, buyouts, estimating, and document control for industrial and heavy commercial markets. Location is Gas City, IN, with travel possible between office and job sites.

The role involves coordinating self-perform and subcontractor work, maintaining submittal logs, and ensuring safety and quality throughout project delivery, from budgeting to closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of related experience and/or internship in General Contracting/Construction Management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, FTP sites, and document control programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project scheduling using Microsoft Project or Primavera.
• Assist with project buyout and startup activities.
• Prepare letters of intent, purchase orders, and master sub-agreements as required.
• Manage the project submittal process and logs, including submittal status.
• Verify shop drawings and communicate submittal status to the Project Manager.
• Contribute to estimating efforts including budgets and change orders.
• Coordinate self-perform and subcontractor scopes with field supervision.
• Support job cost tracking and project closeout.
